These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PawMate platform (website, app, and services) operated by PawMate Technologies, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. By creating an account or using PawMate, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. Who can use PawMate
- You must be 18 years or older and legally competent to enter contracts in India.
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information.
- One account per person. Multiple / fake accounts will be banned.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account — keep your login safe.
2. Nature of PawMate — a marketplace, not a service provider
PawMate is a technology platform / marketplace that connects pet parents with other pet parents, dog walkers, pet shops and veterinary clinics.
PawMate does NOT itself provide dog walking, grooming, veterinary, boarding, sitting or breeding services. Walkers, vets, shops and other pet parents on PawMate are independent third parties. PawMate is not their employer, agent, partner or joint-venturer.
You engage with third parties at your own risk and responsibility. While PawMate takes reasonable steps to verify identity (Aadhaar for walkers, GST / VCI licence for businesses), we cannot and do not guarantee the conduct, safety, quality, or professionalism of any third party.
3. Community rules
Do NOT do the following on PawMate. Violations lead to account suspension and, where applicable, reports to law enforcement.
- Post abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or misleading content
- Harass, threaten, or dox other users
- Post fake dog / vet / shop / walker profiles
- Sell or promote puppy mills, backyard breeding, or unethical animal practices
- Attempt to bypass contact privacy / masking systems
- Scam other users (fake bookings, non-existent products, chargeback fraud)
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the platform
4. Content you post
You retain ownership of content you upload. By posting, you grant PawMate a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote your content on PawMate platforms. You are solely responsible for content you upload.
5. Payments
Payments on PawMate (walker bookings, shop orders, vet fees, Premium subscription) are processed by Razorpay, Apple, or Google. PawMate does not store card details. See the Refund & Payment Policy for details.
6. Premium subscription
- Launch offer: ₹369 first month, then ₹499/month auto-renewing.
- Subscription auto-renews monthly until cancelled by you.
- Cancel anytime from Profile → Manage subscription. Access continues until end of current billing period.
- No pro-rata refunds for partial months. Failed transactions are handled per Refund Policy.
- Free tier stays free forever.
7. Business partners (Shops, Vets, Walkers)
- Businesses must provide accurate GST / VCI licence numbers where applicable.
- Walkers must provide Aadhaar (front + back) for identity verification. Aadhaar data is encrypted and used solely for KYC.
- Businesses are independent contractors, not PawMate employees.
- Free listings are FREE forever. Verified Partner plan is ₹499/month (first 6 months free for founding partners).
- PawMate may remove businesses that receive repeated safety complaints, fake reviews, or violate community rules.
8. Limitation of liability
- PawMate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- PawMate is not liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, or death of a dog or human arising from services provided by walkers, sitters, vets, shops or other users met through the platform.
- PawMate is not liable for the quality, timing, or outcome of any booking made through PawJobs.
- Users interact with third parties at their own risk. Verify walkers / vets / shops before use.
- PawMate's total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid PawMate in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PawMate Technologies, its founders, employees, contractors and affiliates from any claims, damages or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or your interactions with third parties on PawMate.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud, or endanger the community. You may delete your account anytime from Profile → Security & Privacy.
11. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app. Continued use of PawMate after updates constitutes acceptance.
