Safety & Booking

Booking & Safety Terms

Last updated: 6 August 2026 · For walkers, sitters, vet and shop bookings

These Booking & Safety Terms apply every time you book a dog walker, sitter, groomer, vet consultation, or pet-shop order through PawJobs / PawMate. Please read carefully before booking.

1. PawMate is a marketplace

PawMate is NOT a dog-walking, sitting, boarding, grooming, veterinary, breeding, or retail service. We are a technology platform that helps you discover and connect with independent service providers.

When you book a walker, vet, groomer or shop through PawMate, you enter into a direct contract with that third party. PawMate is not a party to that contract.

2. Verification & identity

3. Your responsibility as a pet parent

Before booking any walker or third-party service:

4. Safety, liability & incidents

Booking any third-party service through PawMate is at your own responsibility and risk.

PawMate is not liable for:
  • Injury, illness, bite, escape, loss, theft, or death of your dog while in the care of a walker, sitter, boarder, groomer, or during a vet visit
  • Damage to your property or the walker's property
  • Delayed, cancelled or unsatisfactory service quality
  • Misrepresentation of skill or service by a third party
  • Disputes between you and the walker / vet / shop
In case of an incident, contact the police and inform PawMate at support@pawmateco.com. We will cooperate with law enforcement and, where warranted, remove the offender from the platform.

5. Health checks (dogs)

6. Cancellations

7. Payments & commissions

8. Community & dispute resolution

9. Insurance (optional, coming soon)

PawMate is exploring optional pet insurance tie-ups. Until then, we strongly recommend you maintain your own pet insurance. PawMate does not provide insurance coverage for dogs, walkers, or third parties.

10. Consent

By booking any walker, vet, sitter, groomer or shop through PawMate, you confirm that:

Safety is a shared responsibility. If you see anything suspicious, report immediately at support@pawmateco.com. We take community safety extremely seriously.
